Toasty Polvo® is a Filipino American specialty food brand, made in New Jersey and built around a bite worth getting to know.

MEET MARIA “MJ” JAVIER, FOUNDER & CEO

It started with
something to share.

Maria’s relationship with food began long before Toasty Polvo®. She completed Restaurant Management and Cake Techniques & Design at the French Culinary Institute in 2012, while building a digital strategy career across political campaigns, government, and nonprofits.

Toasty Polvo® began with holiday polvoron parcels for friends. They loved them—and wanted more. After completing Hudson Kitchen’s Food Business Bootcamp in 2025, Maria brought the brand to that year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, where Bon Appétit named Toasty Polvo® a standout snack.

Based in New Jersey, she’s growing Toasty Polvo® through hospitality, gifting, and select partnerships. Her belief: a culturally specific brand can have broad appeal while staying fully itself.

HANDCRAFTED IN NEW JERSEY

It starts with the crumble.

Polvoron’s delicate texture comes from toasted flour. Real brown butter and vanilla extract bring richness to our signature Original Brown Butter Filipino Shortbread Bites, with a soft crumble and melt-in-your-mouth finish.
