We’re still pinching ourselves!
This summer, Toasty Polvo debuted at the 2025 Summer Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center in New York City as part of Hudson Kitchen’s Incubator Row. With over 2,000 exhibitors and thousands of products showcased, we were honored just to share our Brown Butter Bites, our reimagined take on Filipino polvoron.
Then came something we never expected: Bon Appétit Magazine featured Toasty Polvo as one of their “Standout Snacks” from the show.
Why This Matters
For a small-batch, woman-owned, AAPI-founded brand like ours, this recognition means the world. It validates what we’ve believed since day one — that polvoron has a place in the modern snack market. A nostalgic, crumbly shortbread from the Philippines, polvoron is often shared during celebrations. By reimagining it with browned butter and small-batch care, we’re bringing comfort and heritage to new audiences.

A Big Thank You
We wouldn’t be here without the support of our community:
-
Hudson Kitchen, for giving us the foundation to launch.
-
Garden State Kitchen, for providing a space to grow.
-
Our family, friends, and early customers who believed in this dream.
And of course, thank you to Bon Appétit for shining a spotlight on Toasty Polvo and helping us share Filipino shortbread joy with even more people.
